David Copperfield is generally acknowledged as Dickens' masterpiece and by reading just the first few pages you can clearly see why... It's the story of young David's life, a story made of love, disillusion, friendship, betrayal, understanding of what really worths in life. There are also lots of wonderful characters: the wise and sweet Agnes, the silly Dora, the hateful Uriah Heep, the false Steerforth, the terrible and passionate Rosa and the fantastic aunt Betsy! It's a very funny, touching and likeable book where you can find anything you'd like to find in a novel and it is also very very modern and always actual
