I found this book to be a great testament to the tendency of a man to disobey and go against the will of his parents and God only to find himself wishing he never had. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Crusoe finding God and being able to be thankful in so dire of circumstances.

I think it's hilarious that he eats virtually anything alive he comes across (goats, turtles, fowls - so surprised that he trained the parrot to speak rather than eat it too), and his greatest fear is that he should be eaten in turn by the cannibals.
