Magnificent woodsy family story
Although I found the hard copy at a school "garage sale" and was intrigued by the similarity to the title "Children of the Corn" by Stephen King, I felt obliged to review this somewhere.
This novel brought to life characters not only with their physical characteristics, but with action of them and the developing history of their joys and sorrows. The setting and its description kept me spellbound, and I finished the entire novel in three sittings. It was nothing I hoped for at first sight- but was a thriller none the less- and kept me riveted to the task. I wanted to be the characters who have great fortitude to stay the course of their convictions. I had great difficulty putting the book down.
